Dr. Franco, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Franco grew up in Southern California and that is where her love of animals began at an early age. Her childhood was spent caring for a variety of animals that included horses, dogs, &
goats to mention a few. Growing up Dr. Franco always knew she wanted to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. After graduating High School, she got her first job at a veterinary hospital as
a kennel attendant. After experiencing work at first hand there, she was convinced veterinary medicine was her calling. She soon applied for a veterinary assistant position in a small animal clinic closer to home. There she worked for several years while also attending college.

While working on her undergrad in Southern California, Dr. Franco decided to also enroll in a registered veterinary technology program. It was not until her second year of attending the registered veterinary technology program that she also applied to vet school. After graduating and obtaining her bachelors in animal science, she was accepted to veterinary school. She completed a 5-year program at the Institute for Research in Veterinary Science of the Autonomous University of Baja California, where she graduated valedictorian in her class, in 2021.
Dr. Franco has had the opportunity to work in equine medicine as well as small animal medicine. She has a special interest in small animal internal & integrative medicine, as well as canine geriatric medicine. She also enjoys education and has spent some of the last couple of years teaching at Pima Medical Institute, where she has passed on her knowledge to the students enrolled in the veterinary program there.

When Dr. Franco is not working or studying, you can catch her enjoying an outdoor trail ride on one of her horses or visiting family in California, as well as caring for 9 rescue dogs (Sarge, Twixie, Kyle, Honey, Cassie, Tavo, Beto, Schatzi & Cora).

Dr. Franco is happy to be a part of the CAH team, and looks forward to caring for your pet!
